Solar Comfort by Sun Cloud may be immitated by others. Sun Twin, EdenPure, Sun Heat and Comfort Zone are designed after the fact. Rest assured, Solar Comfort by Sun Cloud is the original. However, don't be fooled by the looks as the Solar Comfort infrared heater is superior to any other similar heater on the market. Solar comfort is based on the original 30 year successfull heater design. We are a Solar Comfort authorized dealer and service center. Comfort Zone and Eden Pure primarily have ABS plastic cases. Solar comfort also has the largest heat exchanger, an automatic heat safety shut off switch and an actual breaker on/off switch. We have the safest heater of its class bar none!

Sun Twin, Sun Heat, ComfortZone, Edenpure all use quartz bulbs. If you look at the insides of each of these units, they are all very close in design and function. Solar Comfort is the only unit using the safest and most proven heating method in this style of heater- Infrared lamps.

Between 1999 and 2001, Solar Comfort went with the quartz heating elements, which would prove to be a big mistake. The system was not as safe due to the heat of quartz, harder to change and you had to use gloves to change the bulbs. Solar Comfort is proud to have gone back to the proven system that had been around for over 20 years. The owner of Solar Comfort still has the original in his basement working today. It is the oldest and most proven.

Solar Comfort also believes that simplicity is the key to long life of your heater. Fancy digital displays and remote controls will only be a likeliness of long-term failure. The Only Real "True Story". The only "true story" of the original heat source that is now called the Solar Comfort Zone Furnace starts back in the 70's, when John Paul Jones was experimenting with designs to heat an old Victorian home in the Springfield, Missouri area. He captured the idea of combining 4- 375 watt infrared heating lamps located directly below a specifically designed special metal heat exchanger with 204 hollow, bent and crimped end ferrel tubes. The results were incredibly successful. The clock then fast forwards to Mr. Jones' chance meeting with Jan Mohr, the owner of the Easy Living Store, in Johnson County, Kansas. Jan's family had just moved into a custom built home in Overland Park and could not heat their finished 1100 sq . ft. basement. They tried numerous so-called space heaters with absolutely no success

. Just by luck, on a cold October day, Jan agreed to try this "wood box” made by John Paul Jones and the result was incredible - the unit heated the entire basement evenly from floor to ceiling -- ( by the way, that exact same unit is still in the basement, and for over 20 years they have been able to leave the upstairs thermostat at 68 degrees instead of the 85 degree setting they were using previous to the use of the Solar Comfort). After these miraculous results, Jan immediately took this product to the air waves with live talk show format in Kansas City and the heater became an instant winner with the Kansas and Missouri residents. The talk show celebrities that launched this product have become a blueprint for other talk show stations all over the United States and Canada. John Paul Jones passed away in 1999 and would have been proud of his invention if he could have been in the Easy Living Store the Saturday they sold over $175,000 of his product from 6 am to 4 pm with a live broadcast. However, at the same time, he would be very upset if he knew well-known celebrities were using his name to promote a competing heater with a totally different design. This imitation doesn't even come close to the performance of the Solar Comfort Zone Heater. John Paul Jones' invention lives on and is used by thousands of very satisfied customers who thank him every time they pay their heating bills.
